The Jon Sim Hockey programs, created by former NHL’er and New Glasgow native Jon Sim, has become a leader in youth hockey development in Nova Scotia. 


Born and raised in Pictou County, where he played all his minor hockey, Jon enjoyed a spectacular junior career where he spent 4 seasons with the Sarnia Sting of the OHL. He totaled 311 points including two back to back 56 goal seasons and is still to this day the all-time franchise points and goals leader. Drafted by the Dallas Stars in 1996, Jon captured a Stanley Cup in 1998/1999. Jon went on to play 469 games in the NHL. Jon’s resume includes 15 years of professional hockey, 902 games played, 64 playoff games as well as 3 league championships.
